SECRET PETE'S:
THE POETRY UNDERGROUND
Secret Pete's is a poetry community founded in March 2023 to hold themed, monthly poetry mics at Pete's Candy Store. Our mic has attracted writers of all genres and modes and is hosted by Arianna. Posters and photos of our events can be found on Instagram @secretpetes.
From October 2025 forward, Secret Pete's has shifted to a schedule of events 2-4 x / year. We also are in the early planning stages of our first printed publication featuring our community's work.
Secret Pete's has hosted events including writing workshops, feature readings, a site-specific mic (August 2023 "Picnic" mic), and a collab event (May 2024 "Coffee, Chiacchiere and Cards!" co-organized with Trinacria Theatre Co.).
